This exciting non-conference matchup the Dallas Stars, who are second in the Central Division, look to keep the win streak alive versus a team in Pittsburgh who have dropped 3 of the first 5 games to start this season.

Dad, Joe Pavelski, leads this Dallas Stars offense in the goals department with 3 goals while youngster Wyatt Johnston leads the team in assists with 3 apples. On the other side of the ice Evgeni Malkin leads the Penguins in points with 8 including a team high of 4 goals so far on the season. Jake Guentzel leads the Penguins in assist with 5.

This game will be the first of 2 games this season against each other. The Stars have made the trip up the Pittsburgh today for the match up and the Penguin’s will make their way down to the American Airlines Center later in the season on March 22nd.

Pittsburg is really looking to make a splash at home coming off 2 consecutive loses and even though it is early, if the Pens want to try and get some momentum going. They are going to need a big night out of their netminder, Tristan Jarry. Jerry is looking to bounce back and get that SV% above the .900 mark. Across the ice from Jarry will be Oettinger who will be looking to string together a few wins to keep the streak alive.

This will be a good matchup for the Stars as they also get their first look at Crosby this season. Jason Robertson has plans to make sure that Crosby does not have a chance to heat up but Robo will need to make sure that the Stars strike first and keep the game out of reach for the Pens.
