The wait is over for the Dallas Stars and their fans. Dallas begins its 2023-24 regular season tonight against the St. Louis Blues at American Airlines Center. Puck drop is 7 p.m. CT.
Excitement from Dallas is with good reason as the Stars made it to the Western Conference Finals last season before falling to the Vegas Golden Knights in six games.
The Stars finished the 2023 preseason with a 4-2-1 record.
Opening night is a big home game every season. The Stars have scheduled events for the home opener. The coaching staff and Stars roster is set to do the Victory Green Carpet Walk presented by Toyota at approximately 3:30 p.m. Fans can start lining up for the walk at 2:30 p.m.
Party on the PNC Plaza begins at 5 p.m. Doors to the AAC open at 5:30 p.m. Fans will receive an LED bracelet courtesy of Bud Light and a 2023-24 magnetic schedule courtesy of Ticketmaster.
Dallas’ opponent the Blues missed the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season for the first time since the 2017-18 season. The Stars defeated the Blues in all three games last season (4-1, 5-2, 1-0). Former Flyer Kevin Hayes will make his Blues debut.
The Stars enter their second season with Pete DeBoer as head coach. The Stars finished 47-27-14= 108 points last season. This season marks Jamie Benn’s 11th season as Stars captain. Matt Duchene will make his Stars debut.
