The Dallas Stars (51-21-9) host the St. Louis Blues (43-33-5) at American Airlines Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. CT on TNT.
It’s simple for tonight. If Dallas earns 1 point in tonight’s game (win or OTL loss), they will clinch the top seed in the Western Conference for the first time since 2016. On Saturday, the Stars clinched their first Central Division title since 2016 with their 3-1 win over the Kraken.
If Dallas doesn’t earn 1 point, the Canucks will have a chance to clinch the Western Conference top seed with a win tomorrow night as they play the Jets in Winnipeg. The Jets have nothing to play for as they clinched the second seed in the Central and will have home ice advantage against the Avalanche.
Tyler Seguin will sit out of tonight’s game as Evgenii Dadonov will return to the lineup. Dadonov, who hasn’t played since Feb. 10, has 23 points (12G, 11A) in 50 games this season. Jake Oettinger will get the start in goal.

Despite being eliminated from the Playoffs with 91 points, the Blues have given the Stars three difficult games. The first came on opening night when the Stars won 2-1 in a shootout in Dallas. In the two other meetings in St. Louis, the Blues won 4-3 in overtime on Dec. 16 and 2-1 on Dec. 27.
Robert Thomas leads the Blues with 60 assists and 85 points this season. Jordan Kyrou leads the team with 31 goals. In his first season with the Blues after being traded by the Flyers, Kevin Hayes has had a down year with 29 points (13G, 16A).
