If a World Series Champion Makes Negative Comments on the New Nike Fanatics MLB Jerseys, How Will NHL Players Respond Next Season?

In 2024, Major League Baseball got new Nike Fanatics jerseys for players. Not everyone enjoys them with the MLB currently in Spring Training.

It might be a different sport, but could the NHL potentially see this happen next season with its players when Fanatics takes over making the new NHL jerseys next season?

Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner made a short simple statement on the new Nike Fanatics jerseys for the 2024 MLB season:

That statement is from a 2019 World Series champion, two-time All-Star, 2021 batting champion and a player who batted .346 in 13 games played in the 2023 MLB Postseason.

Adidas has made the NHL jerseys since the 2017-18 season taking over for Reebok. Fanatics might have problems while playing and not playing.

This is two-time MLB MVP Shohei Ohtani posing for a portrait in his Dodgers uniform. If you click on the tweet by Mark J. Rebilas, you can visibly see Ohtani’s jersey tucked in his pants in the photo:

Michael Chavis of the Mariners posted his jersey in his locker room and didn’t show the good quality to the jersey. The Fanatics support team got involved too:

This is a clear difference between 2023 MLB jerseys and 2024 MLB jerseys when it comes to the names and numbers:

This past weekend was the 2024 NHL Stadium Series. The Devils jerseys were in high demand. For a high demanded jersey, Devils fans were left frustrated.

Fanatics claimed Devils star forward Jack Hughes didn’t want people wearing his Stadium Series jersey. NJ.com’s Ryan Novozinsky on X responded to the tweet:

Could the NHL players respond like Turner did? It could be possible.

One thing is for sure, NHL players, they will be wearing new Fanatics jerseys next season.
