After a five-game homestand, Dallas will play a home-and-home against a division rival.
The Dallas Stars (22-11-5) travel to Xcel Energy Center to face the Minnesota Wild (17-17-4) in St. Paul, Minnesota. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
2024 has not been friendly to the Stars so far. After closing 2023 with back-to-back home wins against the Blackhawks, Dallas has lost its last three games. All three games were decided by one goal.
Dallas has earned one point in three games since 2024 began. The point came in a 5-4 overtime loss against the Avalanche on Jan. 4, which Dallas was leading 4-2 in the third period. Last game, Dallas fell to the Predators 4-3 on Saturday night.
In the first meeting between Dallas and Minnesota on Nov. 12, Dallas won 8-3 win in St. Paul. The Stars scored five powerplay goals in the game as 12 different Stars players recorded at least one point.

The Wild enter tonight seventh in the Central Division. Minnesota ended its four-game losing streak with a 4-3 overtime win on Saturday in Columbus against the Blue Jackets. Team leading scorer Kirill Kraprizov (13G, 21A) is dealing with an upper-body injury and hasn’t played since Dec. 30.
Defensemen Jared Spurgeon and Jonas Brodin are also hurt for the Wild. For Dallas, the team will be without defenseman Miro Heiskanen for the second straight game. Goaltender Jake Oettinger has slowly returned to the ice for Dallas.
Dallas now trails the Jets for the Central Division lead by seven points after the Jets won their sixth game in a row win a road win against the Coyotes yesterday. The Wild are three points behind the Oilers for the second Wild Card spot.
