Adidas took over making the NHL jerseys after Reebok starting in the 2017-18 season. As the 2024 Stanley Cup Finals concluded on Monday, it didn’t take long for Fanatics to release what the new NHL jerseys looked like.
Earlier this morning, Fanatics tweeted a video with Toronto Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews showing older NHL jerseys before showing his new Leafs jersey. In the video, Matthews looked excited seeing his new jersey.
Now, a first glance at the new Dallas Stars Fanatics jersey:
The jersey design, color and logo are the same as the Adidas jerseys. However, one key thing that isn’t in the jersey are the dimples on the shoulders of the jersey as seen in the photo of Miro Heiskanen below.

Obviously, the Adidas logo is replaced by the Fanatics logo.
Not every hockey fan is optimistic about Fanatics taking over making the jerseys. The new Nike Fanatics jerseys made for the MLB this season wasn’t liked by everyone. Philadelphia Phillies shortstop Trea Turner made a short simple statement about them in February:
Baseball jerseys are for sure different than hockey jerseys. But, hockey fans are hoping this isn’t the downfall of a jersey that hockey fans love to wear, collect and appreciate. Time will tell over the next few months if hockey players like them or hate them.
