Stars Return Home for One Game Against Islanders

After ending a four-game losing streak on Saturday night, the Stars will return home to Big D for one game against a team they fell in overtime one month ago.

The Dallas Stars (35-16-8) host the New York Islanders at American Airlines Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

On Saturday night at PNC Arena, the Stars defeated the Hurricanes 2-1 to end their four-game losing streak. Jason Robertson and Wyatt Johnston each scored their 19th goals of the season. Miro Heiskanen recorded two assists and Jake Oettinger made 20 saves after being pulled in his previous start against the Senators.

In the first meeting between the Stars and Islanders on Jan. 21, the Islanders won 3-2 in overtime at UBS Arena. Bo Horvat scored 41 seconds into overtime to win the game for the Islanders. Scott Wedgewood made 25 saves in the overtime loss for Dallas.

For the Islanders, they enter tonight 1-3-2 in their last six games. The Islanders were shutout 4-0 in their last game on Saturday against the Lightning.

Matthew Barzal (17G, 43A) and Noah Dobson (7G, 53A) each lead the Islanders with 60 points this season. Dobson’s 53 assists this season ranks second in among defensemen. Brock Nelson leads the Islanders with 25 goals.

Tonight is Black History Night at American Airlines Center. Party on the Plaza with the Dallas Stars Street Squad will begin at 5 p.m. with music from DJ Ducado Vega.
