Stars Head to Ontario to Face Senators on a Three-Game Losing Streak

It’s the third game of a four-game road trip for the Stars as they look to sweep a season series against a team North of the border.

The Dallas Stars (34-15-8) travel to Canadian Tire Centre to face the Ottawa Senators (23-27-3). Puck drop is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.

Dallas has lost its last three games with the most recent on Tuesday night with a 3-1 loss in New York City against the Rangers. Igor Shesterkin made 41 saves against the Stars. Miro Heiskanen scored the long goal for the Stars and Scott Wedgewood made 23 saves

The Stars’ three-game losing streak is the longest this season, and Dallas lost three consecutive games in early January.

For the Senators, they lost their previous game in Florida on Tuesday night 3-2 in overtime against the Panthers. Tim Stutzle leads the Senators with 38 assists and 52 points this season. Brady Tkachuk leads the Senators with 25 goals.

In the first meeting in Dallas on Dec. 15, the Stars defeated the Senators 5-4. Jake Oettinger left the game with a lower-body injury playing 8:03 of the game. Oettinger let in two goals on two shots less than three minutes into the game. Wedgewood earned the win in relief making 25 saves.

Dallas trailed 4-3 heading into the third period. Heiskanen and Matt Duchene scored a goal each 44 seconds apart to put Dallas ahead 5-4.

Entering tonight, the Stars have a chance to sweep the season series against the Senators for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
