Stars Begin Four-Game Road Trip in Beantown Against Bruins

After an overtime loss on Saturday afternoon, it’s another afternoon game for the Stars.

The Dallas Stars (34-14-7) travel to Boston, Massachusetts, to face the Boston Bruins (32-12-11) at TD Garden. Puck drop is scheduled for noon CT.

On Saturday, both teams fell in overtime at home in their previous games. The Stars fell 4-3 to the Oilers; the Bruins fell 5-4 to the Kings.

Boston won the first regular season game in Dallas 3-2 on Nov. 6. Dallas started the game slow trailing 2-0 after the first period. Eight different Bruin players recorded a point in the game. Brad Marchand scored a powerplay goal to make it 3-1 in the third period, which turned out to be the game winning goal.

Heading into today, the Bruins are 0-2-2 in their last four games. Boston has scored seven goals in its past four games. Today is the last of Boston’s seven consecutive games at home. Overall, the Bruins are 1-3-2 in the six previous games.

David Pastrnak leads Boston in goals (34), assists (45) and points (79) this season. The next leading scorer for the Bruins is Marchand with 50 points (25 goals and assists each) this season.

Despite the loss on Saturday for Dallas, they have recorded points in five of its six games played after the All-Star break going 4-1-1. Matt Duchene and Tyler Seguin became the second and third Stars this season to score 20 goals this season on Saturday.
