After a four-game road trip, the Stars return home to Dallas for the next two games and get a defenseman back from injury.
The Dallas Stars (28-13-6) host the Anaheim Ducks (16-30-1) at American Airlines Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.
Dallas enters tonight coming off a 2-1-1 record on their four-game road trip. The Stars won their previous game 5-4 in regulation against the Red Wings on Tuesday night. Roope Hintz scored twice and added two assists. Wyatt Johnston recorded three assists; Thomas Harley recorded two assists.
After being injured on Jan. 4 against the Avalanche with a lower body injury, Stars defenseman Miro Heiskanen will return to the lineup. Heiskanen missed Dallas’ last 10 games. Dallas went 6-3-1 without Heiskanen in the lineup.

On Nov. 14, 2023, the Ducks defeated the Predators and improved their record to 9-6-0. Since their loss to the Avalanche the following night, the Ducks have only won seven games. Anaheim currently sits in seventh place in the Pacific Division with 33 points. Frank Vatrano leads the Ducks in points with 34 and goals with 21 this season.
Anaheim won its previous game on Tuesday night 4-2 at home against the Sabres to end a three-game losing streak. Jakob Silfverberg scored two goals and Cam Fowler recorded two assists in the win.
Both teams haven’t faced each other since Oct. 19, 2023, in Anaheim when the Stars defeated the Ducks 3-2 in regulation. It was the third game of the 2023-24 season for both teams. Joe Pavelski scored a goal and added an assist; Heiskanen scored a goal and added two assists in the win for Dallas.
