Dallas will attempt to re-take the Central Division lead against a team they have not beaten in seven games.

The Dallas Stars (18-8-4) host the Vancouver Canucks (22-9-2) tonight at American Airlines Center. Puck drop is scheduled for 7 p.m. CT.

Dallas has lost seven consecutive games dating back to the 2021-22 season. Vancouver swept each three-game season series in the 2021-22 and 2022-23 seasons. In the first meeting this season, the Canucks won 2-0 in Vancouver on Nov. 4.

Since losing to the New Jersey Devils on Dec. 5, the Canucks have posted a 6-0-1 record. J.T. Miller leads the team in scoring with 45 points; Elias Pettersson and Quinn Hughes each have 41 points. No Stars player has over 30 points on the season. Vancouver is currently the second-best team in the NHL with 46 points trailing the Vegas Golden Knights by one point in the standings.

For the Stars, they enter one point behind the Winnipeg Jets for the Central Division lead after the Jets defeated the Red Wings 5-2 yesterday to re-take the division lead. With a win tonight, Dallas can be back in first place for the division. Dallas has earned seven out of a possible eight points in its past four games.

On Monday night, the Stars defeated the Seattle Kraken 4-3 in overtime with Thomas Harley scoring the game winning goal in overtime. Matt Duchene recorded two goals and an assist in the game.
