Stars return home to start five-game homestand vs Coyotes

After sweeping its three-game road trip, Dallas begins a five-game homestand.

The Dallas Stars (10-3-1) host the Arizona Coyotes (7-6-1) tonight at American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas, with puck drop at 7 p.m. CT.

Dallas enters tonight’s game winning three consecutive games after sweeping its three-game road trip against the Blue Jackets, Jets and Wild. During its road trip, Dallas scored 16 goals in three games; Dallas scored eight in its last game on Sunday against the Wild.

Three players on the Stars are tied with the most points on the team with 13; Joe Pavelski (6G, 7A); Jason Robertson (5G, 8A); Wyatt Johnston (7G, 6A).

The Coyotes enter tonight in fifth place in the Central Division and have five players with at least 10 points on the season. Arizona won its last game on Saturday in Nashville against the Predators 7-5. Clayton Keller leads the team in goals with six and points with 15; Logan Cooley leads the team with 10 assists.

Last season, the Stars and Coyotes played each other four times and the Stars swept the four-game season series. Dallas outscored Arizona 20-6 in four games. Stars goaltender Jake Oettinger recorded a shutout against the Coyotes on Jan. 21, 2023.

After tonight, the Stars won’t play until Saturday night against the Colorado Avalanche.
