Dallas returns home vs Boston for one game before another three-game road trip

After winning two-of-three games on its Western Canada road trip, Dallas returns to the American Airlines Center before going on another three-game road trip.

The Central Division leading Dallas Stars (7-2-1) host the Boston Bruins (9-1-1) the top team in the Eastern Conference tonight at American Airlines Center with puck drop at 7 p.m. CT. Both teams enter tonight’s game losing its previous game on Saturday. The Stars lost to the Canucks 2-0; The Bruins lost to the Red Wings 5-4.

Boston swept Dallas in its regular season series last season en route to winning the President’s Trophy. Dallas lost its home game to the Bruins on Feb. 14, 2023, in overtime 3-2.

David Pastrnak is the leader in points, goals and assists for the Bruins. Nine goals and seven assists for 16 points this season. Brad Marchand is second in points (5G, 5A) for the Bruins.

Boston’s goaltending is having great success once again. Linus Ullmark has a 4-1-1 record with a 2.30 GA and a .926 SV% on the season. Jeremy Swayman has a 5-0-0 record with a 1.38 GA and a .954 SV% on the season.

With the Stars getting shutout in their last game against Thatcher Demko and the Canucks, tonight is another tough game in attempt to score goals.

After tonight, the Stars hit the raod for another three-game road trip with three games in four days starting on Thursday against the Blue Jackets. After Thursday, Dallas will have a back-to-back with games on Saturday and Sunday against Central Division opponents. The Jets on Saturday and the Wild on Sunday.
